About Me

Hello, my name is Cindy Simmons. I grew up with my mother teaching me embroidery and crochet at a very young age. I recall we made paper wreaths, trees, and bead ornaments at Christmas time. In school, I was enrolled in advanced art classes where I learned thread art, mosaic, ceramics, and sewing.

I graduated from SJSU with degrees in Math and Business. I worked as a software engineer as I started my own family. Christmas time gave me time to apply my talents in making decorations and gifts for my family. Many of my friends asked me make decorations and wreaths for them.

During the 80’s, I left my professional career to care for my children, and used my free time to expand my crafting skills. I was asked to participate in craft shows with a friend. Prior to that, I had never attended a craft show and I became totally hooked.

In 1992, I was asked to help open and manage a Craft Mall Gift Store. I worked for the owners for 8 years. I met over 500 different crafters and learned a lot about running a business, merchandising, and marketing. In 2000, I opened my own craft store and continued my own crafting, expanding my knowledge, until the recession forced us to close. Since closing the store, I have devoted my time during the holidays to sell my crafts at multiple craft shows.

Due to the global pandemic, all holiday boutiques and craft shows were cancelled. I created my own website to display my homemade crafts. I have worked very hard to photograph and catalog my merchandise. I have not had a chance to get a photo of every item but all the popular items are on the website.

I pride myself on producing top quality products. My process includes purchasing some items from wholesalers then I go to work by redress, redesign, paint, and add embellishments to make it my own design. I am very meticulous with each item and feel the quality is in the details. I have new creations each year. My website is mostly Christmas themed right now.
